"The year 2007 was a difficult one for the artist; slated in the local press and suffering from the onslaught both on his skills and his person, Ceylan transferred these emotions and experiences onto his boxer. The bleeding face, the punch-drunk gaze and the bruises all refer to his own emotional experience transferred to his pugilistic model, simultaneously shocking and piteous."

what does one wrought from this?
Is tragedy our hero? can we truly overcome or does ones tragedies shape and mold us into what we are today....good or bad....whole or fractured...trying to transcend into something better, maybe or we are being defiled on a daily basis until we do not recognize who we are

it is better here to just understand what he has felt and how he transferred these feelings onto his boxer, one of the important functions of art.

that is a given by looking at the boxer....a picture paints a thousand words...quite a creative median for expression:heart:
